Our Story

Why I Started Memories Unfold

The idea for this company began with a deeply personal project. I was asked to create a tribute for a close friend’s father’s 80th birthday. A man whose life stretched across generations, including a grandfather who served in the First World War.

As we gathered old photographs, uncovered family stories and spoke with relatives near and far, something became clear; these memories deserved more than a simple slideshow. They needed to be brought to life with the care, craft and emotional depth worthy of the people behind them.

My own background made that realisation impossible to ignore. I began my career in TV post‑production, where I learned how powerful visual storytelling can be when every frame, every cut, every moment is shaped with intention.

More recently, I’ve trained in scriptwriting and now write speculative TV and film scripts, a craft that has deepened my understanding of narrative, pacing and emotional truth.
So when we couldn’t find a service capable of transforming a family history into a moving, cinematic film, I decided to create one myself.

The result was extraordinary, a film that captured a lifetime with authenticity, tenderness and cinematic storytelling. It moved everyone who watched it.

In that moment, I realised this wasn’t just a one‑off project.
It was the beginning of something meaningful, a way to help others honour the people and stories that shaped them.

Paul.
